A. Al-Ateeqi

Lt. Col. Abdulaziz (Binimad) Al-Ateeqi of Kuwait is the author of Makkah at the Time of Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH): An Illustrated Reference with Maps of Key Homes, Mountains, and Other Landmarks (2020), and the forthcoming four-volume work, Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH): A Comprehensive and Contextual Biography. He graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Great Britain, in 2001, subsequently taking numerous leadership courses in both the UK and the US. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Media and Communications from the American University of Kuwait, and has spent well over a decade researching early Islamic history and various sciences from an Islamic perspective. His public lectures include his 2019 TEDxKuwaitCity talk titled “Resurrecting Pre-Caliphate Makkah (c. 600 CE).” He is also the founder of SirahMaps.com, home to a unique collection of interactive maps portraying early Islamic history, geography, and the Sīrah (Biography) of Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ).
