Abdulaziz (Binimad) Al-Ateeqi

Col. Abdulaziz (Binimad) Al-Ateeqi of Kuwait is the founder of SirahMaps.com as well as the author of "Makkah at the Time of Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH): An Illustrated Reference with Maps of Key Homes, Mountains, and Other Landmarks" (2020) and the forthcoming five-volume work, "Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH): A Comprehensive and Contextual Biography." He graduated from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Great Britain, in 2001, subsequently taking numerous leadership courses in both the UK and the US. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Media and Communications from the American University of Kuwait, and has spent nearly two decades researching early Islamic history and various sciences from an Islamic perspective. He began writing the biography of Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ in 2010, and his focus on uncovering the historical, geographical, and topographical details of Makkah and its landmarks began in late 2016 and was finally “completed” in 2024. His public lectures include his 2019 TEDxKuwaitCity talk titled “Resurrecting Pre-Caliphate Makkah (c. 600 CE).”
